Hi, I’m Paul, owner and operator of Smokestack Studios Gembrook. I’m a multi-instrumentalist who’s taught practical music lessons for many years.
I’ve also coached and mentored for Melbourne rock band programs, teaching kids as young as 8, and as young at heart as 75, how to play on their own and in a band. Now I live in Gembrook and love helping students discover their own musical voice in prac-based guitar and bass guitar lessons.
At Smokestack Studios, students learn:
- Technical and performance skills for their experience level
- How to use lots of different types of musical equipment
- Fun, modern and classic styles of playing
- How a proper performance and recording studio feels and works

Beginners & advancing players are all welcome, ages 12+. I’m available for various lesson bookings as follows:
| Guitar – Acoustic or Electric (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) | 1 Hour | $60 |
| Bass Guitar (Beginner, Intermediate) | 1 Hour | $60 |
Use of guitar/bass amplifiers and leads as needed are all provided in the lesson fee. I also regularly record my students in the studio, so they can listen and improve, as well as letting friends and family hear their achievements.
