This is a test recording of the new Roland TD-25KVBD electronic drum kit, triggering Superior Drummer 2 program and featuring myself on guitar, plus some fellas I regularly jam with.
It also features the Fractal Axe FX digital guitar system, direct bass guitar and live vocals. No studio trickery on this track, what you can hear is what we used and nothing more.
This song is a Henrik Freischlader cover from his album “Get Closer”.
There’s a lot more scope to work with all this new digital equipment, so I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into it over the coming months with a ton of new recordings coming soon. Thanks to Peter Gleeson, Malcolm Boag and Marcus Byrne for playing on this track.
